La Soirée des Lumières
The Parent Faculty Association’s 2008 La Soirée des Lumières held this past February 9, 2008 at Ko’olau Catering and Event Center was a tremendous success!
The event was sold out with board members, contractors, parents, and faculty in attendance. The bidding for the silent and live auction was lively and entertaining. The honorees were very appreciative of the recognition bestowed on them.
Thank you to all who attended, donated, and assisted in the planning of La Soirée des Lumières. This event would not have been such a success, and we would have not been able to raise over $113,000 for Le Jardin Academy without you.
Let’s make the 2009 Soirée on February 28, 2009 an even greater success!

Christmas Tree Sales
The smell of fresh pine and gingerbread cookies along with hot cider and fresh coffee made a festive day for picking up the preordered trees, poinsettias and wreaths. The families were treated with a performance from the ukulele choir, gingerbread cookie decorating and holiday refreshments. Approximately $6,000 was raised which will provide professional development opportunities for faculty, support the capital fund and help with a scholarship for a qualified student. Event organizers were Richard Hill, Barbara Sniezek, Denise Warrington, and Karen Larsen. Norma Mew provided the gingerbread cookies for decorating.

Family Fun Run
The PFA Family Fun Run included 140 participants and over 500 people in attendance, making this a very successful school activity and a fun morning of quality family time.
Community businesses who donated to this event were Great Harvest Bread, Swoish Produce and Kalapawai Market. We sincerely appreciate their support of our school.
A big thank you to Kathy Erwin and Donna Otto for chairing and organizing this event.
