Math Mania 2007 - LJA takes 1st Place!!
Congratulations to the following 7th and 8th grades students for taking 1st
place in Math Challenge 2007 hosted by Hawaii Baptist Academy on Saturday,
January

Lura R., Kelsey T., Aly T., and Bryant L.
The Le Jardin
team
competed against Mid Pacific Institute, St. Andrew’s Priory, St.
Louis, St. Mark’s, and Hawaii Baptist Academy. The event focused
on problem solving, including order of operations, probability, perimeter
and area,
and sets. The students participated in a geometry activity, which involved
making
tetrahedron kites and also in a scavenger hunt. The students diligently
prepared for the challenge during their Christmas break and also during
lunch review
sessions. I would like to thank the students for their effort and positive
attitude in representing Le Jardin Academy. I am proud to be their coach!
