Third Grade French

All grade levels use a variety of activities to explore the French-speaking world. Classes use French stories, videos or films, songs, TPR (Total Physical Response = commands and actions), and hands-on materials. Many gestures, facial expressions, games, and repetition also keep the energy and excitement going in French.

Using Visages 1, emphasis is on structures, communication, listening, reading and some writing. Third graders are given four quizzes and two tests per year to assess their vocabulary retention and auditory comprehension skills. Homework may be given once per week.
