Fourth Grade French

All grade levels use a variety of activities to explore the French-speaking world. Classes use French stories, videos or films, songs, TPR (Total Physical Response = commands and actions), and hands-on materials. Many interactive games, activities, and projects keep the energy and excitement going in French.

Using Visages 1, emphasis is on structures, communication, listening, reading and writing. 4th graders are given 4 quizzes and 3-4 tests per year to assess their grammar and auditory comprehension skills. In 4th grade, students are exposed to the arts in French. 4th graders gain skills in French using a variety of mediums: French theater, art, music, and comic strips. 4th grade is a very exciting time to be taking French at LJA!
