Government

Constitution of the Lubbies

I decided to make a government familiar to the united states. I played with the names, and finally made several morphed names. I really enjoyed making the basic laws and setting the boundaries of the government.

Legislative Branch

Our group highlighted the topic, the Legislative Branch. We put together a skit and a song. Our group consisted of Anna, Brain, Kevin, Kristen, and me. We all really enjoyed this project. It challenged our skills of being entertaining, at the same time being informative.

Reflection

I during this unit of study, my class and I learned all about America's government. I learned of the complications of when you write a constitution. You can't just put anything you want in constitution. And you have to make sure that you don't have any specific names. Your constitution's purpose is to last through centuries. I also learned about the three branches of government: the Legislative Branch, the Judicial Branch, and the Executive Branch. The Legislative Branch makes laws, passes takes and approves appointments. The Executive Branch makes treaties and passes bills. The Judicial Branch makes sure laws are Constitution and can explain treaties.
