Government

We took a peice of paper out of a box with an L, J, or E on it for Legislative, Judicial, and Executive. I got Legislative. The Legislative Branch makes laws and changes existing laws based on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. It has 2 houses, The House of Representatives and The Senate. In our skit, I was Madame Benjamin and I was the head of The Senate and The House of Representatives. We added humor to it just so our audiance wouldn't get bored. I really enjoyed making the skit with these people because it gave everyone a chance to bond with each other.

Reflection

During class, we learned about Democracy, Republic, Communism, Monarchy, and Facism. In computer, we were supposed to research government from any country in the world accept the U.S. I chose Iceland. I found that Iceland's government is very similar to the U.S. and Canada's government. They have a president, but they're only allowed a 4 year term. The people of the political parties vote for the president. We also got to write a paragraph about a government that we really like, our own government, or two combined governments. The reason why we did this is so that we could learn to write a long, detailed paragraph about the topic we're learning.
