Government

Checks and Balances

It took time to think of a poem to say in front of my whole class , but (right to left) Alexandrea, Nicole, Kacey,Christian, and Luke managed to work together. We had a hard time the first time we presented but Ms. Coarsey gave everybody a second chance. What a relief! Ms Coarsey is such a mind reader. This picture is a bout us presenting our props and group. We thought we did great and this is what Kacey says about our teamwork " ".

Together We Stand

In our Social Studies unit we were learning about the different branches and types of government. we were mostly learning about the Legislative branch, Executive Branch, judicial Branch and Checks and balances. In my group was Andi, Kai, Andrew and I. Andi wrote what was inside our bushes for us, while we were telling her what to write. After that we took a trip to the capitol. we saw the two different houses, the Senate house and the Representative house it was so cool.We then had to write a Constitution for LJA it was really fun. My constitution was named

The Constitution of Le Jardin Academy

Reflection

Learning about Government was really interesting. What I thought was most interesting was the Branches and who runs them. I learned that if you are a judge then you are chosen to be a judge for your whole life. The government study in Social studies unit is one of the best units and one I will never forget.
