The Brain

My Brain Game

Aaron, Anna, Kevin, and I made a brain game in school to teach the other kids about the brain. In our game both players read a question card about the brain. Who ever answers and gets the answer right first can place a brain part on the magnets. We put magnets on the game board so the brain parts would not fly off. One of our questions, for the game was what does the cerebellum do. The answer for that, is it controls balance and movement. In this picture Aaron and Anna are playing the game. This experience was fun and hopefully we will do this again.

Brain field Trip

On this exciting field trip, we learned all about the brain. We saw all different brains of many animal species. Also we found how illusions can fool are mind. In this picture there is a real human brain. I learned that the ostrich brain is the size of his eye ball. This was exciting and I hope I can go back to the Bishop Museum again.

Brain Demo

It was a treat that my mom, Dr. Belnap came in to show the brain even though it was a little bit embarrassing. She told us all about the brain and even let us touch it. Now I know what the parts of the brain really look like. The smell was horrible, but surprisingly it was not the brain that smelt bad. Instead it is the liquid that preserves it. The brain was donated to her hospital for teaching purposes. I look up to her, and hopefully she can do this again for us.

Middle School Goals

The purpose of this project was to make a page for a class book that would help us survive middle school. In the beginning, our class chose some important stages that would happen in our Middle and High school life. Then we assigned each class mate a topic .I got assigned the topic of middle school goals. The purpose of my topic was to help kids feel less stressed if they are not perfect at something. I loved this project and I think it would be fun to do again.
