Government

Checks and Balances

In social studies we learned about Checks and Balances and more. My group studied about Checks and Balances and we made a poem about it and told about the job of Checks and Balances. The job is that they check the government and make sure all branches have equal power and no other government gets to much or to little. They do this to protect the government and not let another branch over rule the other.

Constitution

In class we learned about the three different branches of government. They were called the Executive, Judicial, and Legislative. Each of these branches had different jobs. The legislative is in charge of the congress. Executive is a branch where the president works and he is commander in chief of the military and his main job is to faithfully execute the laws. The Judicial is the supreme court and makes sure laws are working fairly.

What I Learned

I learned numerous things during this unit. I learned about all the different kinds of government and what they did to make the U.S. a successful nation. I enjoyed doing this unit so much but it was very hard to get to know exactly everything but what I learned is enough but soon I would love to learn more about the branches of government.
