The Brain

Brain Game

In our table groups we made a brain game. Ours was about memory and thinking. We would show the person a sheet of paper that said where each of the speech, thoughts, memory, movement, feeling, sight, and so on were supposed to be. Then we spun them around five times and told them to put the peices of paper in the correct place. Eather the Frontal Lobe, Parietal Lobe the Occipital Lobe, or the Temporal Lobe.

Real Brain

Dr. Belnap came in with a real brain from an about eighty year old. Besides the man's brain she also brought a brain that was cut in to pieces so we could see the inside of the brain. It did not smell so good because all of the chemicals inside the brain. I learned that the brain floats in your head. Also you have a protective layer of tough skin covering the outside of your brain.

Field Trip

When we went to the Bishop Museum we saw many brains. They were all different sizes. Their was a dolphin brain, a dogs brain a horses brain, and many other brains. Some of them were small, some were middle sized, and some were large. I never knew that animals brains were different sizes than a human's brain
