Our Brains

Our Brain Games

Hunter,Scott,Christina,Krystin, and I made a brain game called the Brain Gain. This game is supposed to teach the students in our class about the many wonders of the human brain. It was extremely hard. The hardest part was thinking of all the trivia questions. Our group worked well together so we could finish it in time. Thank goodness. One of our easier problems were: How many cells does your brain have? The answer is 10,000,000 brain cells.

Brain Field Trip

In the begriming of December, our class went on a fun and exciting brain field trip. We learned how the brain works and what the brain "sees". We discovered that in our adolescent years, we lose about 5 brain cells a year. Amazingly, that's enough to make your judgment horrible.

Brain Demos

We were lucky enough to be able to see a real human brain. Ms. Belnap from Tripler hospital was nice enough to bring a brain to our school. we learned that your brain is mostly gray matter and white matter, and your brain is extremely squishy.(we got to touch it) The most fascinating fact that she told us was how you smell. The answer is, out of something that looked like cartilage. The cartilage looked like a fork. I enjoyed it so much.

Peer Pressure

The purpose of the project is that we had to make a page for a book to help you get through Middle school. We chose various stages in adolescence and wrote about how we could deal with them. It was extremely fun yet it took a longer time to finish than I thought it would. I think this book will help me in understanding what I am about to go through in Middle school.
