Brain Museum
We all went to the brain museum and saw
a human brain in a glass case, we also saw a few animal
brains nearby. Some animal brains that we saw were dolphin
brains, and beagles brains. The dolphins brain weighed
1,700 ounces while the human brain weighs only 1,400 ounces.
The beagles brain weighed about 100 ounces, a lot less
than a humans brain or a dolphins brain don't you think?

Brain Games
The fifth graders at Le Jar din played brain
games. Each table of fifth graders made up a game together,
then
after
having actually made the game they were able to show it
to the other tables and everyone got to play their own
game. Later, after the games had all been perfected and
the finishing touches put on everyone got to play everyone
else games. All the students liked doing the brain games
and making up how they would go. We learned that the human
brain is 85 percent water.

Dr. Belnap
Dr. Belnap came to visit our school and show
us a real human brain. She showed us where everything
is and then, after giving us plastic gloves she let us
touch the brain. Though the smell was bad we wanted to
see
it so much that we held our noses and did it any ways.
The brain was amazing, it held surprises that were just
waiting
to jump out at you. Something that we learned is that the
left side of the brain controls the right side of the body
and that the right side of the brain controls the left
side of the body.

How to
The fifth grade made How To booklets
about a ceremony or ritual that they chose. First they
debated about who got which subject. Then, once the subjects
were given out they made little booklets in their subjects.
My subject was Cliques which are groups
of friends that don't let anyone else into their groups.
I interviewed my older sister on cliques and she said that
they were nice to be in but she doesn't like them. The
reason is that you don't have to ask your friends before
you become friends with someone else.
