Second Grade Science Olympiad

Bird Beaks: Students conducted tests to see what the best habitat is for birds with certain kinds of beaks. The students were the hungry birds that had to hunt for worms using various beaks such as thongs, tweezers, scoop nets, and medicine droppers.
Bridges: Students built bridges with masking tape and straws to see how great an expanse they could cover.
Knowledge Race: students worked in groups to brainstorm science words from their study of soil, rocks, and plants. Then they used those words to complete a crossword puzzle.
