Kindergarten Science Olympiad

Pasta Bridge: In teams, we constructed bridges out of spaghetti and clay and tried to see whose bridge could hold the most meatballs.
States of Matter Pentathlon: students ran to first base and identified pictures of items as either a solid, liquid or gas. They proceeded to second base jumping rope, third base kicking a soccer ball, to home plate balancing a ball on a paddle and then sat on a balloon to pop it at home plate. At each base, the students had to identify the items as solid, liquid or gas.
Barge Building: students had to design a barge out of tin foil. The object of this event was to see how many marbles the barge could hold. The designof the barge as well as how the marbles were placed had an effect on the outcome.
