Fourth Grade Science Olympiad

Tower Building: Students received a bag of mystery building materials. They had 15 minutes to construct the tallest tower possible that could balance a tennis ball on top. It was a test of ingenuity and quick thinking
Water Barges: Students constructed barges out of 15x15 in. foil that could float and hold cargo of pennies. Students learned that a wide flat bottom was the most successful.
Density: Students had cubes of differing density and had to weigh and measure them using water and a website activity.
